Regardless of who they were or what position they held, their words and actions stand in for the company in that situation. I assume the CC Discord is not open to anyone who wanders in, which means the unnamed employee of WG was only present -because and in their capacity- as a member of WG, which puts an official capacity to their presence there. ![]() When a person is an employee of a company, they represent that company in dealings with those outside the company, especially when in an official capacity. However, a central point has to be clarified. The presentation was interesting, and certainly did cover the topic in a general way (the actual Yukon incident was more complicated than presented here, but that is something that can be read on it's own).
